The social and the psychological impact of endometriosis on the Romanian urban population

Objectives. Our study assesses the social and psychological impact of symptoms endometriosis. Materials methods. This crosssectional was conducted from January 2014 to 2016. The research involved two groups. instrument, EHP-5 questionnaire, completed by respondents on admission date or routine gynecological visit day. Results. Endometriosis has a negative women’s life, most affected areas being work, fertility sexual activity. Moreover, pain perception self-image are major sources distress. Conclusion. effects endometriosis, especially chronic pelvic pain, mood changes infertility, significant factors in life. authors further conclude that questionnaire can be more widely used help select women who may need special attention terms their quality thus helping gynecologists refer health care professional.
